After a wonderful lunch, we head off to visit Wat Thmey & Killing Field Memorial. There is a small active Pagoda with a statue of Buddha. The hall is nicely decorated. Halls and a small gift shop are available in the area. There are also couple of boards with fading photos showing the life in the dark days.
At the side of the Pagoda is a small and rather gruesome building. Wat Thmey is the home to Siam Reap’s Killing Fields’ memorial. The memorial is a small building with glass windows that housed the skulls and bones of some of those who perished during the Khmer Rouge time.
After a short visit to the gruesome building, we head off for lots of fun and memories. We head off to the Khmer Village for a memorable Ox Cart Rides around the paddy field. We also had the memorable opportunity to watch a beautiful sunset around the beautiful green paddy field while enjoying cooling coconut water served by the friendly villagers.
All energy used up, we head next for another wonderful and memorable Khmer Dinner @ New Bayon Restaurant.
After dinner, we head off to check out Siam Reap Pub Street, the popular night spots offering a wide range of eating and drinking joints.
Here, we had a short exploration around the street before heading back to where our wonderful tour guide, Han (Mr) awaits us for a memorable foot massage. The experience itself is a fun one especially when some of us whom were doing the foot massage for the first time.
After the refreshing foot massage for our tired feet, we finally head back to the hotel for a good night sleep ending another memorable day in Siem Reap.
