Fish stir fried with mix vegetables

From my last attempt to stir fry fish chinese style which was a success (I call it successful when my family finished everything in the dish), I decided to try another stir fry fish dish tonight for dinner. So I adapted my recipe from this blog :


  1. 2 fish fillets, cut into 2-3-inch pieces
  2. 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  3. ¼ cup shaoxing wine
  4. ½ teaspoon sesame oil
  5. 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  6. ground white pepper
  7. 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into chunks
  8. 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
  9. 1 yellow onion, sliced
  10. 2 scallions, sliced into 1″ in length
  11. 4 cloves chopped garlic
  12. 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled and sliced into 1″ in thickness
  13. 3 tablespoon vegetable oil
  14. 1/3 cup of water

Method :

  1. Marinate the fish fillet with soy sauce, wine, sesame oil, cornstarch and white pepper
  2. Cut up the vegetables and set aside
  3. Heat up the oil in a wok and stir-fry the ginger and garlic until fragrant
  4. Add in the onion and stir-fry for another 5 minutes
  5. Add the yellow and red bell pepper and stir-fry for few minutes. Reduce the heat slightly
  6. Add the marinated fish into the work and stir-fry for a while
  7. Add water and cover the pan
  8. Cook under medium low heat for about 5 minutes until fish is cook
  9. Add in the scallions and gently toss and stir until well mix for another 2 minutes
  10. Ready to serve!
