A mystical Island, Jeju Island (제주도) is similar to the Hawaiian Islands which offers a wide range of outdoor activities, from hiking on Hallasan (한라산) – one of South Korea highest peak, catching beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the ocean, viewing majestic waterfalls to horse riding. One of the most popular tourist spot on Jeju Island (제주도) is Hallim Park (한림공원). To get to Hallim Park (한림공원), one can take the bus from Jeju Inter-city Bus Terminal which heads toward Hallim and get off at Hallim Park stop. For us, however, we have engaged a taxi that brings us around for the entire day. Our friendly cab driver for the day waited patiently for us at every stop that we made.
Upon entering Hallim Park (한림공원), we could sense the exotic sentiment. There were 16 different sectors displaying different type of plants, The Tropical Botanical Garden, Foliage Plant Garden, Washingtonia Palm Garden and Kiwi Fruit Garden.
There were many beautiful flowers of different types in the different sectors within Hallim Park (한림공원).

The most famous tourist site in Hallim Park (한림공원) are the Hyeopjae Cave, (designated Natural Monument #236) and Ssangyong Cave, the only two-dimensional cave in the world (cave within the cave).
There are also a small folk village, children’s amusement park and an outdoor resort facilities which makes Hallim Park (한림공원) an enjoyable place suitable for both children and adults.
Oh yum! We had our first taste of the Korean Pancake made of rice flour with sweet fillings of brown sugar… awesome! Perfect for the cold weather too!
In Hallim Park (한림공원), there are always seasonal Tour Course. We were very lucky that we visited it during the Chrysanthemum Festival where we get to enjoy the fall colors and the scent of chrysanthemums.
It was indeed a memorable afternoon in Hallim Park (한림공원) despite the cold weather. Truly beautiful and amazing place to visit.
