Oven Baked Herbs Chicken with Cordon Bleu

I recently bought a bottle of Cordon Bleu from the recommendation from my brother-in-law whom shared with me about cooking with Cordon Bleu. Yes, indeed the first thing that came across my mind was like, “What! What a waste for a good bottle?”….. however after thinking about it, since I am not much of a drinker, I might as well put the bottle to a good use right? So this is how the Oven Baked Herbs Chicken with Cordon Bleu comes about.

  • 2 chicken legs cut into 4 pieces each chicken leg
  • 2 potatoes, cut into thick slices of around 2 inch each
  • 2 tablespoon of dried mixed herbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon of rock salt
  • 1 tablespoon of coarse black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of butter
  • 3 tablespoon of Cordon Bleu

  1. In the baking dish, line it with aluminium foil and then put the chicken in the middle – ensure that your foil is big enough to seal together later
  2. Add the cut potatoes in between the chickens
  3. Sprinkle with rock salt and coarse black pepper
  4. Add in the dried mixed herbs and mix all well
  5. Add 2 tablespoon of Cordon Bleu img_3013
  6. Top it with the butter
  7. Seal the foil accordingly img_3016
  8. In the pre-heated oven, baked at 180c for about 30 minutes
  9. Open the foil (careful of the steaming heat from inside) and add in the balance 1 tablespoon of Cordon Bleu
  10. Seal it back and bake for another 10 minutes
  11. Serve hot
