Cheesy Garlic White Wine Baked Scallops

As a working mother that enjoyed exploring new recipes, it is a joy when one is not too tired to explore new recipes for the family over the weekend.

I had lovely shell scallops sitting in my freezer for a while. Although I had plans on what I wanted to do with these little lovelies, I never had the chance to test it out till today. The result was just as I had imagined. As usual, what matters most is when the boys enjoyed what I prepared for them.

  • 5 shell XXL size scallops
  • 6 cloves of garlic – minced finely
  • 1 sprig of parsley – chop finely
  • 1.5 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 cup of white wine
  • pinch of salt
  • 150 gm of mozzarella cheese

  1. Wash the scallops and clean the shell
  2. Line them nicely onto the baking tray (I line my tray with aluminium foil for the purpose of easy cleaning afterward)IMG_6771
  3. In the pan, melt the butter
  4. Add in the minced garlic and fry till slightly brown
  5. Pour in the white wine and bring to boil
  6. Turn off the fire and season with pinch of salt to taste
  7. Spoon the 1 teaspoon of garlic white wine sauce onto the prepared scallops
  8. Pour the remaining sauce over the scallops
  9. Sprinkle the chopped parsley on top of the scallopsIMG_6774
  10. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly on top of the scallopsIMG_6777
  11. Baked in the pre-heated oven at 200c for 10 minutes
  12. Increase the temperature to 250c and bake for another 3 minutes till the melted cheese is slightly browned
  13. Serve hot
