Pasta Dinner : Penne with Broccoli and Sliced Pork

Once in a while, when I am feeling lazy, I like to whip up a simple and quick meal with whatever I have in the freezer and fridge. Today is just one of those days. So a quick look into my freezer, I found a pack of thinly sliced pork meat mean for shabu shabu. Boys are getting a little tired of having rice, so requested for pasta instead. So it is Penne with Broccoli and Sliced Pork for dinner tonight indeed!

The recipe is able to yield for 4 person.

Ingredients:

  • 300 gm penne
  • 300 gm thinly sliced pork
  • 250 gm broccoli – cut into bite size
  • 1 nos of red onions – cut thinly
  • 1 packet of Campbell Mushroom Soup
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 3 tablespoon of Olive Oil
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Method:

  1. Cook the penne in accordance to the instruction on the packaging until it is adante. Drain and set aside
  2. Heat up 3 tablespoon of Olive oil. Add in the onions and saute for 1 minute
  3. Add in the slice pork and saute for 3 minutes
  4. Add in the broccoli and fry for a while
  5. Add in the water and after stirring for a while, cover it for 3 minutes
  6. Remove the cover and add in the penne. Stir for 1 minute
  7. Season with salt & pepper to taste
  8. Add in the 1 packet of Campbell Mushroom Soup powder. Stir and mix well
  9. Serve while still hot
