Been a while since I had clams. I usually keep a pack of clams in my freezer for my husband to prepare miso soup when I am away from home. Today, decided to whip up a simple dish : Clams with wolf berries and red dates…. because I added a little bit of chili, I was worried that my sons may not like it … fortunately they had truly enjoyed this simple to prepare dish… 😉
Ingredients:
- 500gm clams
- 3 cloves of garlic – mince finely
- 2 small chilli (chilli paid) – cut small
- 1 bowl of Shao Xing wine
- A pinch of salt
- 3 tablespoon on wolf berries
- 4 red dates – sliced open slightly
- Heat up the wok with 3 tablespoon of oil
- Sauté red chillies and garlic until fragrant
- Add in the wolfberries and red dates. Sauté for 5 minutes
- Add in the clams. Sauté for 5 minutes
- Season with the pinch of salt
- Add in the Shao Xing wine and bring to boil
- Cover to cook for 5 minutes / until the clams are open
- Dish up and serve hot with rice
