Honey 🍯 Roast Thyme Chicken

Lately the craze at home is back to roast chicken. So it’s Honey 🍯 Roast Thyme Chicken for dinner 😉 

Ingredients

  • 1.5kg chicken
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoon Japanese sake 
  • 4 tablespoon honey
  • 1 red onions cut into small pieces
  • 6 spring of lemon thyme
  • 50gm brown sugar

Roast Vegetables

  • 3 spring of leek – cut into bite size
  • 1 carrot 🥕 – cut into bite size
  • 1 red onions – cut into bite size
  • 3 spring of lemon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Coarse pepper
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Marinate all overnight or at least 3 hours 
  2. Pre-heat oven at 220c
  3. Mix all the vegetables together and toast together. Season with a tablespoon Olive oil, coarse pepper and salt 
  4. Line the vegetables on the baking tray 
  5. Bake chicken for 15 mins 
  6. Reduce temperature to 200c and bake for another 10 minutes
  7. Reduce temperature further to 180c. Turn the chicken and then bake for another 15 minutes
  8. Serve hot
