Giant Apple Cinnamon Roll

Being stuck at home and not wanting to spend too much screen time, I decided to check out another recipe that I found online Giant Apple Cinnamon Roll

I adapted the recipe a little. Very happy with how it turns out in the end. Very simple recipe and it is easy to make… Happy Boys… Happy Mum!

Apple Toppings

  • 4 apples cut into pieces
  • 100 gm sugar
  • 85 gm butter

Method:

  1. Heat up the non-stick pan
  2. Pour the sugar and melt it over the heat
  3. When sugar is melted and slowly turning brown, add in the butter
  4. Stir well till well mix and slightly thicken
  5. Add in the apple and stir over slow fire till apple soften
  6. Lined the apple onto the pan and pour the remaining sauce
  7. Set aside

Dough

  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 240 ml warm milk
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 500 gm all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 85 gm butter soften
  • Cinnamon Powder mix with sugar
  • 180 gm butter soften

Method:

  1. Stir the sugar into the milk
  2. Stir in the dry yeast
  3. Mix well
  4. Add in the beaten eggs and mix well
  5. Fold in the flour and salt
  6. Mix well until well blended
  7. Knead in 85 gm of butter into the dough mixture
  8. Knead until a soft dough is form
  9. Set aside to rest for about 10 minutes
  10. Punch out the air from the dough and knead for about 2 minutes
  11. Roll out
  12. Using the 180 gm soften butter, spread it evenly
  13. Sprinkle cinnamon power mix onto the dough
  14. Cut into strips. Roll one by one to form into a big giant roll
  15. Put onto the apple lined pan that was set aside earlier
  16. Set aside to rise for 20 mins
  17. Bake in pre-heated oven at 180c for 45 minutes
  18. Serve with Ice-Cream for the ultimate dessert
